Is your feed healthy?

A Snapshot of Stream Health Through Insects is 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on July 18, at the Kimberly Run Natural Area Cabin (at intersection 219). RSVP to somersetconservancyevents@gmail.com.

Learn how to analyze the health of a stream by catching macroinvertebrates (feathers, mayflies, dragonflies, etc.) and other aquatic organisms like crayfish, salamanders, fish and frogs. These organisms tell us how healthy our water is by their appearance. They will capture, identify and analyze the organisms in the waterways. Bring water boots or shoes to enter the water. Nets, keys and magnifying glasses will be provided. Go to the cabin but park in the garage or in the entrance and enter.
