Tractor stolen from Dorset farm found crashed in Somerset


A Ford tractor stolen from a farm near Sherborne has been found – crashed – in Somerset.

The blue Ford 5610 tractor with registration C381 HMR was stolen from a farm in the Oborne area between 7 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Monday, September 27.

He was found run over at Green Lane in East Coker, Somerset, around 11:30 p.m.

Constable Sebastian Haggett, of the Dorset Police Rural Crime Team, said: ‘The theft of farm machinery is not only proving to be costly for farmers to replace, but can also have consequences. ‘huge impacts on the day-to-day functioning of farms.

“We are conducting a full investigation into this incident and I would ask anyone with information that could assist our investigations, including anyone who captured anything of importance on dashcam footage, to come forward.”
