The Somerset County School Board has announced a new meeting date and time for the rescheduled September 21 meeting.
The rescheduled meeting will begin virtually at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28. According to the meeting agenda, the open part of the meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m.
The meeting can be streamed here, according to a press release.
During the virtual meeting, the board plans to review policy 200-28, Covering the face in school facilities. September 21 meeting postponed after many people refused to wear masks during the meeting.
Somerset County Public Schools initially made masks optional indoors for all students, staff and visitors. However, after Maryland passed a state mandate requiring masks in all public schools, the district said it would comply with the warrant.
The statement said those wishing to share public comments with the board and superintendent should send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
